Calaveras Big Trees State Park
The Park houses two main campgrounds with a total of 129 campsites, six picnic areas and hundreds of miles of established trails.
Lake Alpine
There are three campgrounds located around Lake Alpine and one Silvertip located about one mile west of the lake on highway 4. The U.S. Forest Service operates all of the campgrounds and they are on a first come bases.
Stanislaus National Forest
Camping is one of the most popular recreation activities in the Stanislaus National Forest. Situated in the Central Sierra Nevada, the Forest has several campgrounds located in a variety of settings.

Mercer Caverns
Mercer Caverns is located in Calaveras County just outside Murphys, California and about five miles from Angels Camp. The tours are approximately 45 minutes long and are guided. You descend the equivalent of about a 16 story building by way of stairs.
Moaning Caverns
Moaning Cavern holds the largest vertical chamber in a public cavern that you can see in California. Guided Walk Tours are suitable for the entire family.
